March Madness

March Madness has come and gone for the Rice's. Though the month is only half way over, we've had our fill of excitement. Elijah continues to grow and change constantly. He experienced his first cold this past few weeks, and has come through it like a champ. He's also oriented himself to bottles during a spell when Leigh Ann could not feed him due to antibiotics she was on to fight a lung infection. He also handled that well. Overall, it's been a crazy hectic time, but we're through it and things seem to be sailing a bit smoother now. One huge step for Eli has been solid foods. (Well, as solid as they'll get for a while) He's experienced rice cereal, squash, carrots, and sweet potatoes. He doesn't seem to be partial to anything yet. He's eaten everything placed in front of him...probably a gene he got from Jeff. Feeding Eli is not always easy, at times it seems that more gets on the bib, face, hands, and highchair than in his mouth, but he enjoys it. I hear squash is amazing for you complexion.

We also received quite a bit of snow. In one week we got over three inches of snow. Now we can sympathize with all you in Wisconsin and Michigan. :) It went from mid-70s and sunny to low-30s and snow in the matter of a week.

This past Friday we went to a huge consignment sale in Little Rock. We were able to find a new bathtub and jumperoo for Eli. He seems to enjoy both. It was a pretty crazy experience to walk into a conference hall full of baby clothes and whatnot. Luckily, I was able to get Leigh Ann out before too much damage was done.

Here's just some random pictures of Elijah being Elijah. Hope you enjoy, and we'll talk to you all soon.
