It's amazing how time moves on at an increasing exponential pass as you get older. May is the month of birthdays in the Rice household so it's also a good time to recollect over the past year. Many things have happened this year

which have changed our lives, deepened our dependance on our God, and strengthed our relationship as husband and wife in a profound way. It's been a pretty amazing year. Which brings us now to the present month of May. As of right now, we are pleased to announce that things are very normal. Elijah is growing like a weed and constantly changing. I enjoy nothing more than sitting and listening to him play and talk to himself in high

screeches and laughter. It's an amazing sound that can't but help make you smile. Leigh Ann is getting more and more accustomed to staying home and caring for Elijah. He can be rather demanding at times and she does a great job with him. He's now able to roll

around on the floor and has begun to bring his legs up into a crawling position. I'm afraid his days of being immobile are numbered. Recently, we took a trip up North
to see some friends get hitched. It was a great time to get together with friends. We were also able to spend Mother's Day with my entire family which was a huge added bonus. Since returning, I've gone through my final surgery. Things went far better than

we could ever have anticipated. In fact, I had surgery on Friday and was back at school for a few hours on Monday. Since then things have only gotten better. School ends next week which will signal the beginning of a very busy summer. We're delighted to have some people coming to visit us over the next month, and we're going to be making a trip up north at the end of July. Overall, it should be a rather packed summer.
